Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road
Funny, Witty and Clever
This book was a great read. I enjoyed all the clever comparisons about both nations. Mr. Britton's storytelling ablities are top notch. The author definitely has a quirky sense of humor for someone who is "from across the pond". "Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road" was truly laugh out loud funny! (J. Moore)
A People Seperated by a Common Language and Culture
Mr. Britton's journey into the differences between the United Kingdom (not the "English" or "British" as you will learn in the book) and the United States in language, popular culture, and social thought is quite a good read. His quick saber-like wit and sarcasm (ex: "leaky boy") add additional humor to situations and descriptions that are already comic to start with. His criticism and praise for both the culture and people of the United Kingdom and the United States is balanced, but you get the feeling that Mr. Britton is generally suspicious about humans in general, regardless of nationality. (Darin Klewsaat)
It is a very entertaining
Mr. Britton's book provides a humorous story on the differences and simalarities of our United Kingdom brothers. It is a very entertaining book; as well as; being informative to how we are different from our English speaking brothers from the other side of the Atlantic. The length of the book is great for long plane rides where you can read half the book on the way to say Phoenix and finish it on your return flight home. (Frank Heidel)
